A strong second half display from the visitors was ultimately enough to see off the challenge of their South Mayo hosts on a scoreline of 1-10 to 7 points.

It was Breaffy who claimed the bragging rights after overcoming parish rivals Castlebar Mitchels by 9 points in a sun soaked Breaffy on Saturday evening. Breaffy were without the injured Seamie O’Shea and James Minogue, while Castlebar left county panelists Donal Vaughan and the Durcan brothers in reserve.  The game was end to end for the most part with a total of 33 scores.

Episode two of RTE and AIB GAA’s ‘The Toughest Trade’ aired on Tuesday night and featured our very own Aidan O’Shea trading places with NFL veteran Roberto Wallace.
Aidan made the journey to the US to participate at an NFL combine while the former Miami Dolphins wide receiver Roberto came to Breaffy for a week of training with our senior panel which also included experiencing the sights that the local area has to offer. Read more
