Féile Peile na nÓg 2019

We’re less than two weeks away from the John West Féile Peile na nÓg 2019, taking place all over Connacht on the weekend of Friday 28th to Sunday 30th of June.

We are delighted to entering our under 14 boys team who will be competing in Division 4, group B alongside Clonguish Og, St Marys and Kildimo/Pallaskenry. On Friday the 28th our lads travell to Kent Park in Sligo to take on Clonguish Og and St Marys, while on the following day we play host to Kildimo/Pallaskenry in Breaffy with thrown in at 10.45am. Depending on the results of Friday/Saturday team will be playing afternoon game in either Claremorris or Ballyhaunis as per below fixtures. Read more

Mayo Minor and Mayo Under 21s 2017

Best of luck to Breaffy lads Conor Beirne and Mark Dervan and all the Mayo Minor team as they take on Galway in the League this Sat 25th March in Tuam at 3pm – and to Matthew Ruane and Dylan Cannon who represent us on the Mayo Under 21 team in the Connaught Championship Semi-Final v Galway at 5pm.

Under 14’s Trip to Abbotstown

Breaffy under 14 squad and their Coaches had a great day on Saturday 4th March – they travelled to the GAA’s  National Games Development Center in Abbotstown where they took part in a training session,  afterwards they spent some time in the National Aquatic Center before heading to the Mayo v Dublin match in Croke Park.

Breaffy GAA hosted a great day of football on Saturday 4th June when Tara Youths GFC London, St. Vincents Drumlish Longford, Ballaghadereen GAA , and Knockmore GAA joined us for an under 12 blitz. Read more

Every Saturday morning after St. Patrick’s Day until the end of September Breaffy GAA football pitch is filled with the noise of over 100 children and a dozen coaches active in the learning and teaching of the skills of Gaelic football. The Breaffy GAA U6 Academy was an idea developed to let children become involved in Gaelic games at a younger age in a fun, safe environment. In the past players would join Breaffy GAA when they were 7 or 8 years old and join as U8s. There are now over 30 players aged between 4 and 6 in the U6 group in 2016 and 7 coaches. Read more
