Féile Peile na nÓg 2019

We’re less than two weeks away from the John West Féile Peile na nÓg 2019, taking place all over Connacht on the weekend of Friday 28th to Sunday 30th of June.

We are delighted to entering our under 14 boys team who will be competing in Division 4, group B alongside Clonguish Og, St Marys and Kildimo/Pallaskenry. On Friday the 28th our lads travell to Kent Park in Sligo to take on Clonguish Og and St Marys, while on the following day we play host to Kildimo/Pallaskenry in Breaffy with thrown in at 10.45am. Depending on the results of Friday/Saturday team will be playing afternoon game in either Claremorris or Ballyhaunis as per below fixtures. Read more

Breaffy GAA August 2018 Newsletter

Dear Members and Friends, with Mayo taking an early exit from the championship, all eyes turn to club football for the remainder of the summer. Firstly I would like to wish Seamie O’Shea a speedy recovery, his involvement on the field will be missed. I wish our senior team every success as they continue in their quest for a county senior title and we will ensure that they have everything they need to achieve this goal. Read more

Under 14’s Trip to Abbotstown

Breaffy under 14 squad and their Coaches had a great day on Saturday 4th March – they travelled to the GAA’s  National Games Development Center in Abbotstown where they took part in a training session,  afterwards they spent some time in the National Aquatic Center before heading to the Mayo v Dublin match in Croke Park.

Breaffy GAA hosted a great day of football on Saturday 4th June when Tara Youths GFC London, St. Vincents Drumlish Longford, Ballaghadereen GAA , and Knockmore GAA joined us for an under 12 blitz. Read more

Bord na nÓg Awards 2015

Breaffy Bord Na nÓg GAA Club held its annual underage awards evening recently in Breaffy GAA Clubhouse. Michael Callaghan, Breaffy Bord Na nÓg Chairperson, introduced special guest for the presentation evening Roberto Wallace, NFL star, who was a former Miami Dolphins wide receiver and speed coach. Roberto is with the Breaffy Club for a week to get a taste of how to play Gaelic Football and to immerse himself in the Culture of the GAA and experience its uniqueness, while Breaffy’s  Aiden O’ Shea has gone to an NFL  American Football Team to experience how American football is played.
